Nights / 11 Days
Kashmir Trek
Day
01: Arrive and transfer to Mascot Houseboats. Evening shikara
ride.
Day
02: Srinagar- Sonamarg: After early breakfasts start for
Sonamarg by car passing through the picturesque villages and valleys
and reach the lush green meadows of Sonamarg. Lunch at Sonamarg
and camp over night.
Day
03: Sonamarg- Nichnai (Trek Starts 5-6 hours hike): Early
morning breakfast. Start trek through the beautiful meadows and
pinewood forest with a big caravan including staff- cook- waiters,
helpers, ponies carrying all necessary food and stuff. Pack lunch
Enroute and reach Nichnai. Overnight camp.
Day
04: Nichnai- Vishansar (4 -5 hrs walk): After breakfasts
leave the camp with pack lunch. Enroute cross the first pass and
pass through the beautiful valley and reach Vishansar. Overnight
camp.
Day
05: Vishansar: Full day to absorb the beauty of this high
altitude lake with breath taking Scenery and Trout fishing in the
lake and down the stream. A place worth to relax. (This lake is
named after the Hindu god of Vishnu).
Day
06: Vishansar- Gadsar: (5- 6 hrs walk): After break fast
hike to Gadsar and cross the high pass over the Vishansar pass.
Overnight camp.
Day
07: Gadsar- Magandobh: Walk about 6-7 hours and pass the
beautiful valleys with many shepherds with their herds. A beautiful
way to experience the nomadic way of life. Overnight camp at Magandobh.
Day
07: Magandobh- Gangabal: Walk about 5-6 hours and see a
different world of beauty. With high passes and beautiful valleys.
Overnight camp at Gangabal.
Day
08: Full day at Gangabal to explore the peak of Harmukh
and also leisure day for trout fishing in this high altitude lake.
Overnight camp.
Day
09: Gangabal - Naranag- Srinagar: Leave early morning to
descend down the Butsherpass and reach Naranag. After exploring
the old temple ruins of Naranag drive to Srinagar. Trek ends.
Day
10: Morning at leisure. After lunch visit famous Moughal
Gardens, “Nishat and Shalimar”. A brief visit to art
and craft centers. Back to houseboats for dinner and overnight stay.

Ladakh Trek
Day 01:
Arrive Leh. Day at Leisure, acclimatize to the rarefied atmosphere
of the high altitude of 3500 mts.
Day
02: Thiksey Gompa - Reach early to participate in the morning
prayers. This is a picturesque monastery atop a craggy hill. Houses
the statute of Maitreya (The Future Buddha). This 15m tall statue
was made to commensurate the visit of the Dalai Lama to the Gompa.
Hemis Gompa - Famous for the spectacular monastic festival in the
month of June. World's biggest Thangka (Religious paintings/scrolls)
is housed here and is on display every 12 year.
Shey palace – The summer residence of the King. Strategically
located on a spur jutting out in the Indus valley. The palace houses
a large statute of The Buddha built by Nepalese artisans.
Day
03: LEH - SABU: Drive to Sabu village. Overnight at village

04: DIGAR - LA PASS: Early morning trek across Digar-la
(6000 m) Overnight stay at Digar village.
Day
05: DIGAR - AGYAM: Trek along the river Shyok. Camp at
Agyam village.
Day
06: AGYAM - KHALSAR: Trek to and camp at Khalsar village.
Day
07: KHALSAR - DISKIT: Trek to Sumur. Visit to Samtenling
Gompa (Monastery) Trek to Diskit. Visit to 350 year old Diskit Gompa
Overnight at Diskit.
Day
08: DISKIT - HUNDER: Trek to Hunder via the historic "Mane
wall" Camp at the largest village in the valley, Thang Lasgo.
Day
09: LALUNG - LA PASS: Trek across Lalung-la, also known
as Dok Pass (5300 m) Overnight camp on the other side of the pass.
Day
10: PHYANG: Visit Phyang Gompa built in the 15th Century
by King Tashi Namgyal. It was an act of atonement for the sins he
had committed to get the throne. The monks in the monastery belong
to the Kargyud Sect. Overnight in the village.
Day
11: PHYANG - LEH: Drive to Leh (24 kms). Evening at leisure.
Day
12: Full day to explore the Leh town - King Palace, Leh
mosque, Leh Gompa and Leh Bazaar.
Day
13: Departure.
Zanaskar Rafting

Day
01: Arrive Leh. Day at Leisure, acclimatize to the rarefied
atmosphere of the high altitude of 3500 mts.
Day
02: Leh. Acclimatize and sightseeing. Light activity and
short walks till Leh palace and the town's exciting market and outdoor
restaurants. For the more energetic a visit to a few monasteries
such as Shey, Thiksey and Hemis will be arranged. Overnight Leh.
Day
03: Drive Leh - Kargil. We drive from Leh to Mulbek - Kargil,
through a spectacular moonscape. We drive over the Fotu La (14,000
ft), a high mountain pass and exit the Indus valley. Enroute, we
visit the Lamayuru monastery, known to be one of the oldest monasteries
amongst the 'Red Hat' sect. Overnight Kargil hotel.
Day
04: Drive Kargil - Rangdum (12,000ft). A spectacular drive
past Panikar and Parkachik, with magnificent views of the Nun and
Kun massifs (7000 metres), hanging glaciers and large meadows. We
drive till Rangdum Gompa (12,000 ft). Camp overnight.
Day
05: Drive Rangdum - Remala (6 hrs). We drive to Remala,
which is the starting point for the rafting trip on the Doda River,
a tributary of the Zanskar river. We drive over the Pensi La (14,500
ft), which enables grand views of the Zanskar peaks at the bottom
of which is the Drung Durung glacier that feeds the Zanskar River,
40 km below, into which we flow trip the next day. Overnight-tented
camp.
Day
06: Rafting expedition begins at Remala. Raft till Karsha
Gompa, near Padum. We raft 30 km in 5 hrs, which includes a break
for lunch and hot beverages. 6000 metre high peaks surround us.
River section today includes a Class II section, a good introduction
for first timers as well as to the river in general. After settling
into camp by afternoon, we take a hike to Karsha Gompa for the evening
incantation.
Day
07: After a late morning start, we raft from Karsha up
to Pidmu. This stretch is approximately 30 km with Class II and
III rapids. After settling into the camp by mid afternoon, we visit
the nearby villages of Pidmu and Hanomil.
Day
08: After packing camp, we raft 20 km to Nyerak, a Class
III section. The gorge narrows in on the river - this indeed is
a Grand Canyon in its own right. We stop for the day to pitch camp
in a gorge below Nyerak village.
Day
09: Today’s 35 km rafting section takes us from Nyerak
to Lamaguru, through the core of the Zanskar A classic white water
day with continuous Class III rapids, and a few Class IV rapid where
the river squeezes between a gap of about 18ft. We stop for lunch
near a huge waterfall at the confluence of Markha River with Zanskar.
Rock formations, spires and an amazing palette of colours add to
the trip today. Camp at Lamaguru.
Day
10: Day hike to Kaya and Skiu. Return to camp by late afternoon.
(4-5hrs). Camp at Lamaguru.
Day
11: We raft 40 kms of Class III/IV white water from Lamaguru
to Nimu today. We make camp short of Nimu, the confluence of the
Zanskar with the Indus river.
Day
12: Raft approximately 25 km from Nimu to finish the trip
at Alchi through Class III / IV rapids. After ending the trip at
Alchi, we walk up to the centuries old monastery to view the beautiful
frescoes and woodcarvings. Drive back 60 km to Leh and check into
hotel.
Day
13: Leh. Full day reserved for shopping, sightseeing etc.
Day
14: Departure.
Chaddar
Ice Trek

Day
01: Arrive Leh. Day at Leisure, acclimatize to the rarefied
atmosphere of the high altitude of 3500 mts.
Day
02: Leh. Acclimatize and sightseeing. Light activity and
short walks till Leh palace and the town's exciting market and outdoor
restaurants. For the more energetic a visit to a few monasteries
such as Shey, Thiksey and Hemis will be arranged. Overnight Leh.
Day 03: Leh to Chheling by jeep. Same day Chheling
to Tilatdo by foot, 4 to 5 hours of walking. The porters are used
in this trekking, as trekkers move over the gorge, cliff and seeing
the beautiful view of river frozen, mountains covered by the snow.
The life is so difficult to survive here as mercury drops to minus
25.
Day
04: Tilatdo to Markha. Tilatdo to Markha by trek 6 to 7
hours of walking. Trekkers move in traverse over the Zanskar Mountain
and enters the Markha valley, after visiting the village and Gompa
and Markha valley, the trial traverses through Nirmaling plain which
are dominated by the towering Kangytse peaks 6400 metres. In this
valley, Ladakhi shepherds can be seen who dwell in the woolen tents
with the hair of goat’s yaks. It is rare experience to see
people of Markha valley folks in winter. A good path continues on
the right bank from Skiu to Markha. It is all round green. After
crossing left bank by a bridge, mountain scape changes to barren
and by plain, again cross a bridge ton the right bank, trekkers
arrive at Chaluk village with few houses. Cross again and after
a short climb is a beautiful Markha village with very good camping
sites beyond house near the river.
Day
05: Markha to Boksar Gompa. Markha to Boksar 7 to 8 hours
of walking. Next day moving through the gorge of Markha to Boksar
village, the trekkers will uniquely experience the walking on the
river frozen. This can be sensitive working, the professional guide
will lead the team by checking the every possibility to avoid any
eventuality. The trekkers will visit the Boksar monastery, which
is classic of it owns.
Day
06: Boksar Gompa to Deep Gompa. Bokasr to Deep 7 to 8 hours
of walking. Another challenging day begun, as moving through the
gorge of Boksar to Deep, trekkers will see the beautiful mountains
covered with the large snow. Trekkers have to move some frozen rivers
and streams with the rare dexterity and courage.
Day
07: Deep Gompa to Hanamur. 8 hours easy path beyond Hanamur,
then, it leads up to plateau from Zankar edge, then to the foot
of the pass. After steep and difficult climb will lead to Purfila
3900 metres. Now steep descent will reach Omachu River. After crossing
a bridge and then 3 km sandy slope, Pishua wonderful campsite is
reached.
Day
08: Hanamur to Pishu. Hanamur to Pishu 6 to 7 of walking.
An easy but and dusty walk. After crossing Rinam, there is rock
shelter and Stream of Zanskar River. The longest hanging bridge
55 metres length, joining Zanla Gompa. The tourist can visit to
before arriving at Pishu, a trial to Padum via Zozar and Thongde.
Day
09: Pishu to Karsha. 5 hours of walks, proceed towards
Palpating then passing through dusty plain cross Doda river by a
bridge, climb and arrive at Karsha. The interesting place to visit
is the 15th century old Gelumpa monastery popularly know as Karsha
Gompa.
Day
10: Karsha to Spangdum (Padum) 4 hours walks, the easy
day work to trekkers to reached to Padum.
Day
11: Rest. 9th day will be rest for acclimatization and
visiting the Padum monastery.
Day
12: Padum to Leh. Drive back to Leh.
Day
13: Departure.
